USEF Dressage Festival of Champions at Lamplight
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this horse! He qualified for the 6yo Test which requires a minimum average of 75% and top 15 placement in the US. The test is similar to a third level test with changes and half passes, so the horses have to be mature and advanced enough in theirContinue reading “USEF Dressage Festival of Champions at Lamplight”

One of the takeaways as a general rule of thumbContinue reading “USDF Trainers Conference”

Only In America Show
Ritz debuted at Third Level Test 1 and received two respectable scores in the low and high 60’s with very tight judging for the weekend. The second test (high 60’s) smoothed out the bobbles from the first (low 60s), where Ritz may or may not have cantered a walk pirouette among other improvised moves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z03Uxv5nZmk
Scott Hassler Clinic
The single changes are confirmed and starting canter half-pass, as well as, exercises to increase the collection in the walk, trot, and canter. Ritz showed much progress from the last clinic in June where we were still figuring out the change aid and were throwing changes left and right including strings of 1 Tempis!
